Linked destiny?

10 01 2009

I have another question. After reading a short passage in Rick Joyner’s book on Power to change the world, he mentioned that a Christian individual destiny is inevitably linked to each other, until we step out to reach another fellow Christian, our destiny will never be fulfilled. He said in reference to Jesus going to John the Baptist for baptism in Matthew 3:13-17, that Jesus’ call only started with John’s baptism?

a) Would Jesus have gone to the cross even without John’s baptism?

b) Is our destiny determined by Man’s action in particular our obedience? If God is sovereign, wouldn’t His will in our lives be it destiny be fulfilled nevertheless?

a) Let’s be silent when the bible is silent
b)God is sovereign & omnipotent. HE created human beings with the freedom to choose whether to obey or disobey His Will daily. HE didnt create a bunch of robots.

So, how do we know whether we are sheep or goat(Mat25), wheat or tares(Mat13) which all look alike?

Purpose driven is easy. Listening & Waiting upon the Lord is Hard. Not every open door is from the Lord, & not every closed door is not from the Lord. Rem Adam & Eve(skill-good at eating fruits). King Saul(skill-good at making his own decisions). Solomon(skill-too smart).Demas(skill-world lover).Judas Iscariot(Skill-good at counting money). Simon the magician(skill-good at spotting & buying talent). Ananias & Sapphira(skill-good at showing off), etc

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?2 Cor 13:5

After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 1Kings19.12
